In Madeleine L'Engle's "A Wind in the Door," the elder farandola is trying to convince the little farandolae to take root and "Deepen." The little farandolae don't want to because then you can't physically move, but the elder farandola said that though she couldn't move, it was only by taking root and deepening was she able to sing with the stars. I think of my walk with Christ in a similar way: take root in Him, and become a part of the great song of the universe. Sorry for the clumsy post :)
